Ask for a written quote showing the vehicle selling price, dealer fees, add-ons, taxes, title and registration, and any transport charges. Compare the total as well as each line item.
Check the conditions
Ask whether a discount depends on financing with the dealer, a trade-in, a rebate qualification, or another purchase. Two similar totals can come with different conditions.
Keep optional items visible
Identify protection packages, warranties, accessories, and other add-ons separately. Ask which are optional and request an updated quote reflecting your choices.
Use the same assumptions
